About Alterable

Email is the one channel where your content is frozen at send time. You hit send, and every recipient gets the same picture whether they open it thirty seconds later or three days later, on a phone in a rainstorm or a laptop in the sun. Alterable unfreezes it. You drop a single image tag into your template. When someone opens the email, Alterable renders the image on the spot for that person, using what it knows at that exact moment: the current time, their device, their approximate location, the local weather, their language. Nothing changes about your sending setup. If your platform can embed an image, it can embed Alterable. What you can build with it: Countdown timers that show the real remaining time on every open, so "sale ends in 4 hours" is actually true when someone reads it. Once the deadline passes, the timer can switch to a fallback image instead of counting down from zero. Dynamic images and product blocks driven by targeting rules. Show the rain jacket to people where it's raining and the sunglasses everywhere else. Swap the hero image by time of day, day of week, device, country or language. Rules stack, and there's always a default so nobody sees a broken slot. Local store maps. Pass a list of locations and each recipient gets a map centered on the branch nearest to them, drawn when they open. Scratch-and-win cards and one-click surveys that work inside the email itself. Readers scratch a card or tap an answer, and you see the results in your dashboard without sending anyone to a landing page first. Live product cards that pull price, stock and imagery from your catalog at open time, so a sold-out item never gets promoted to someone who can't buy it. Every image reports impressions back, broken down by the same signals used for targeting, so you can see how many opens came from mobile, from which countries, at what hours. Marketers get a visual editor with sensible styling defaults and a one-click embed code. Developers get a REST API that covers everything the editor does, plus an MCP server so AI assistants can create and update timers and images directly. Zapier and Make integrations handle the automation cases in between, like spinning up a countdown for every new campaign in your CRM. Alterable works with Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, ActiveCampaign, Brevo and any other ESP that accepts an image tag. Teams and multi-brand agencies can keep separate workspaces under one account. There's a free plan to try it with real sends. Paid plans scale by monthly impressions. Start at alterable.com. That's about 2,500 characters. Two claims to double-check before posting since I pulled them from the product surface rather than confirmed copy: the timer fallback image after expiry, and live price and stock on product cards.

@alterable

Hi, I'm Matt, founder of Alterable. Email content is frozen at send time; Alterable renders it at open time instead. Would love to hear which image types you'd actually use. Questions welcome!
