1. Markdown injection A submitter writes [Click here](https://evil.example) in a text field. Discord renders it as a masked clickable link inside the embed. We escape every Discord markdown character in submitter values before they reach the API. 2. The @everyone problem Discord auto-parses @everyone, @here, and <@123> mentions in any string. Two-layer fix: a zero-width-space breaks the literal text, and allowed_mentions.parse=[] tells Discord to skip auto-detection server-side. 3. Mention allowlist Routing rules can ping specific roles or users, but only if the admin pre-approved those IDs at connection time. Submitter input cannot expand the allowlist. 4. Discarded OAuth tokens Discord's webhook.incoming scope returns an access token plus a webhook URL. We throw away the access token. Only the webhook URL is persisted, encrypted at rest.
