Most news arrives as an undifferentiated feed you have to sift yourself. BeamWire's premise is that coverage should come to you already shaped: one show per topic, produced on a schedule, in a format you can either listen to or skim. Each show ("beam") covers a single beat — world and US news, NFL, NBA, soccer, smart home technology, gardening, board games, gaming, medicine for healthcare professionals, misinformation debunking, among others. Overnight, the pipeline gathers that beat's actual reporting from many sources, compares how different outlets cover the same stories, fact-checks claims and publishes the verdicts, and then writes and voices an episode hosted by the show's recurring two-host cast. What arrives each morning is the episode's audio plus a written brief with linked sources — the same material in two formats, so the choice between listening and reading is yours per day, not per subscription. Select shows also publish standard podcast RSS feeds. Because the hosts, format, and editorial approach are software, a show doesn't need a large audience to justify existing. That's the second half of the idea: any topic with a real news cycle can carry its own show, including an audience of one. Users can generate a new beam from a topic they care about, and it runs on the same pipeline as the built-in lineup — source curation, fact-checking, recurring hosts, scheduled episodes.
