About benchlog

I built Benchlog because I wanted a simple way to keep track of all the hardware sitting around my workbench. Dev boards, test equipment, cables, components, random parts I've bought for a project and then forgotten about, all of it in one place, without turning inventory management into another project. You can keep the details that actually matter when you're working with hardware, like pinouts, footprints, operating limits and where you put something. Parts can also be tied to projects, so you can see what's already being used and what's still sitting in the bin. One of the things I really wanted was fast search, so you can find something without digging through folders or remembering exactly where you logged it. Benchlog is live at benchlog.xyz. If you build electronics, work with robotics, repair PCs, or just have a workbench that's getting out of control, give it a try. I'd genuinely like to know whether the way I've approached inventory actually makes sense when you're in the middle of a build.
