About Bewary

Bewary answers one question: is this a scam? Send it a text message, a link, a phone number, a QR code or a screenshot, or photograph the situation in front of you, and it replies scam, suspicious or safe, with one plain reason and what to do next. The detection pipeline reads the input before judging it: what the artifact is, who is asking whom for what, and whether the method matches how the claimed organisation actually operates, checked against live threat feeds. Because it accepts photographs, it also covers scams that cannot be copied and pasted, such as a shell game on a street or a QR code stuck over a parking meter. On iPhone, scam texts from unknown numbers are filed into junk automatically and reported scam calls are labelled before you answer. It checks whether an email address or phone number has appeared in a known data breach, and up to five people, typically parents or teenagers, can be watched over from one account. If money has already gone, a recovery flow produces an ordered plan covering the steps that still matter, with bank and reporting links drawn from a vetted catalogue rather than from the scam message itself. Free to start, with a metered number of checks each month. Available on iPhone and in any browser.

Built Bewary after watching people get caught by messages that looked completely normal. Send it a text, link, call or photo and it tells you scam, suspicious or safe, with the reason.
