About BulkForged

BulkForged is a strength training app with an opinion: logging your workout is the easy part. Deciding what to do next is where lifters actually get stuck. Most tracking apps are glorified notebooks. You type in what you lifted, they store it, and next week you're back to guessing — was that hard enough? Should I add weight? Am I stalling or just tired? BulkForged answers those questions for you, automatically, after every single session. ── HOW IT WORKS ── BulkForged runs a progressive overload engine built on double progression, the method most evidence-based coaches actually use: 1. Every exercise has a target rep range (say 8–12). 2. Each session you push for a rep or two more per set. 3. When you hit the top of the range across all your working sets, the app bumps the weight and resets you to the bottom of the range. The difference is that you never run this math yourself. Finish a workout and the engine analyzes it immediately — filtering out mislabeled warm-ups, scoping progress per routine so a Wednesday session doesn't corrupt your Monday targets, and rounding every weight increase to an increment your gym actually has (real machine pins and plate math, not a theoretical +2.5 kg). Next session, your targets are already updated and waiting. ── IT EXPLAINS ITSELF ── Every adjustment is logged and readable in plain English. You can see exactly why a weight went up, why a target held, or why the app thinks you've stalled. No black box, no "trust the algorithm." If you disagree, you can override any target manually — the engine adapts around your call rather than fighting it. ── WHAT ELSE IS IN THERE ── • Muscle recovery heat map — a front/back body view showing which muscles are fatigued, recovering, or ready, computed from your actual training history rather than a fixed 48-hour rule. • Automatic deload detection — the app watches for stalls and regressions and offers a deload week that temporarily lightens your prescribed loads without ever destroying the targets you've earned. Jump right back when it's done. • Goal-aware programming — pick from build muscle, get stronger, lose weight, improve endurance, or general fitness, and both the progression posture and the surrounding coaching change. Cutting, for example, reframes holding your strength as the win it actually is instead of nagging you about a plateau. • Starter plans that fit your week — tell it how many days you can train and it builds a real split: full body, upper/lower, or push/pull/legs, with compound lifts leading every day and volume balanced across muscle groups. • Garmin watch app — a full offline-first Connect IQ app, not a notification mirror. Start a workout on your watch, finish it on your phone, or the reverse. Both devices are equal peers and sync through the cloud. • Personal records and analytics — automatic PR detection with charts, estimated 1RM tracking, volume trends, and a strength score that rates your lifts against bodyweight-relative standards. • Nutrition direction without food tracking — calorie and macro ranges tuned to your goal, bodyweight, and whether today is a training day or a rest day. No barcode scanning, no logging every almond. Just targets. • Quick workouts and record attempts — log an unplanned session off-plan, or test a true one-rep max in a dedicated flow that keeps failed attempts out of your progression data. • Cloud backup and sync — your training history is backed up automatically and restores onto a fresh install. Progress photos, deliberately, stay on your device and never touch a server. ── WHO IT'S FOR ── Lifters who train seriously enough to care about progressive overload, but would rather not maintain a spreadsheet to get it. If you've ever built your own progression tracker in Google Sheets and then abandoned it three weeks later, this is that, finished and automated. Available on Google Play. iOS waitlist is open.
