About Companion

Companion is a private thinking space, not another answer machine. Most AI tools hand you conclusions. Companion does the opposite: it asks structured, open questions inspired by techniques like Socratic questioning and reflective listening, so you work through decisions, dilemmas, and ideas yourself and arrive at conclusions you actually own. What it does: guided reflection through questions rather than advice or ready-made answers. It works in 100+ languages, so you can think out loud in whichever language feels natural. Conversations are session-based and built around a single topic: a decision, a conflict, a plan. Your reflections are tracked over time, so you can look back and see patterns in your thinking emerge. Privacy-first, GDPR-compliant, and hosted on EU infrastructure. What you get: clearer thinking before big decisions, untangled thoughts after difficult conversations, a low-friction way to journal out loud instead of staring at a blank page, and a growing record of how your thinking develops. Available on web and Android. Companion is a reflection tool, not therapy or medical advice. If you are struggling with your mental health, please seek qualified professional help.

Built Companion because I noticed I was outsourcing my thinking to chatbots instead of practicing it. It asks, you think, you conclude. Happy to answer anything about how it works.
