About Curio

Most recommendation engines guess what you'll like from genres or from what similar users played. Curio reads what you actually wrote. You journal games as you go — after the first evening, forty hours in, or the moment one loses you — and every entry carries your real Steam playtime, so you can see how an opinion moved rather than only where it landed. Those entries build a taste profile: what hooks you, what irritates you game after game, where your rating disagrees with how you talk about a game. From that profile Curio sorts your unplayed library into tiers with links back to the words that justify each pick, runs deep dives on individual games, and tracks when you actually played what, down to the session. Free and MIT-licensed, self-hostable in a couple of clicks. No shared inference: you bring a key from Gemini, Claude or OpenAI, it's encrypted at rest, and requests go straight to the provider.

Hey all! I have ~1000 games on Steam and never launched a third of them, so I built Curio to fix that for myself. It's free and open source — happy to finally share it here. Would love your feedback!
