About DotCal

DotCal is a privacy-first, minimal calendar for Android, built for people who want powerful time management without unnecessary complexity, accounts, or cloud dependency. The idea behind DotCal is simple: your calendar should help you understand and plan your time, not become another complicated productivity system. DotCal is designed around an offline-first approach, with local intelligence and privacy at its core. Your calendar experience stays on your device, while Android's CalendarProvider can be used for system and Google Calendar synchronization. There’s no mandatory DotCal account, no cloud-based calendar backend, and no need to hand your schedule over to another service. Plan your time your way DotCal includes Year, Month, Week, Day, and Agenda views, along with events, tasks, recurring events, reminders, holidays, birthdays, search, templates, and Calendar Sets. You can drag and drop events to reschedule them, resize them, bulk edit multiple events, and quickly find what you need. Smart Quick Add Create events quickly using natural language instead of filling out multiple fields. DotCal's local Quick Add system can handle dates, times, durations, locations, reminders, and commands such as moving, editing, or deleting events — without sending your calendar data to a cloud AI service. Smart time planning DotCal goes beyond simply displaying your calendar. Dead Time Finder helps you find available blocks of time in your schedule. Ghost Events / Pencil-In lets you experiment with tentative plans without immediately treating them as confirmed commitments. Availability Text Generator makes it easy to share when you're available, while On This Day and countdowns provide useful context around your schedule. Privacy built in Privacy isn't an optional add-on. DotCal includes App Lock and a Private Vault for protecting sensitive information. Calendar intelligence and planning features are designed to work locally, keeping the privacy-first philosophy intact. Useful sharing without requiring a cloud account Share events using QR codes, export calendar views, and share availability without needing a DotCal account or centralized sharing service. DotCal also supports backup and restore, giving you control over your own calendar data. Widgets and Android integration DotCal includes customizable home-screen widgets, widget opacity controls, launcher shortcuts, Quick Add access, lock-screen/reminder support, and integrations designed specifically for Android. On supported Nothing devices, DotCal also supports Nothing-inspired Glyph experiences for reminders. For people who work unusual schedules DotCal also includes Shift Patterns and tools for shift-based planning, with shift plans that can be shared as images, PDFs, ICS files, or DotCal QR codes. DotCal Pro The core calendar remains useful without Pro. Pro adds advanced controls and planning features such as advanced local reminder controls, deeper widget customization, PDF event attachments, and additional power-user workflows. DotCal is built around a simple principle: The calendar that helps you plan your time privately. Minimal interface. Offline-first design. Privacy-first architecture. Smart time planning. No unnecessary complexity. If you want a calendar that feels more like a personal utility than another cloud productivity platform, give DotCal a try.
