About Gigai Tools
I got tired of "free online tools" that upload your files to someone's server, so I built Gigai Tools: 250+ tools for PDFs, images, video, audio, SVG, documents and dev work where the processing happens in your browser. You can check the network tab — your files never leave your device. Under the hood it's mostly WebAssembly: MozJPEG/libwebp/oxipng for image compression, ffmpeg.wasm for video/audio, pdf-lib and PDF.js for PDF work, Tesseract for OCR, and an ONNX model running locally for background removal. Audio tools use the native Web Audio API. Because there's no server doing the work, there are no accounts, no daily limits and no file caps beyond your device's memory — and the core tools work offline once loaded (service worker). A few honest limitations: very large files are bound by browser memory, PDF→Word is text-faithful rather than pixel-perfect on complex layouts, and heavy jobs run at your device's speed, not a server farm's. Content pages carry ads to cover hosting — never inside the tools themselves. Would love feedback — especially on anything that feels slow, breaks on your files, or any tool you expected to find and didn't.
