About Glonce

Glonce is a daily broadsheet of AI and technology news. Every weekday it takes the day's output of the industry, keeps the part that matters, and reads it for you. A newspaper sheet, not an infinite feed. The whole day sits on one page. On a large screen you take in the entire picture at a glance and decide what deserves your time, instead of scrolling until the feed runs out. Around forty stories a day, and you are current in the time a feed would have taken to warm up. Every story is already read. A headline and a link is not the product. Each story carries a self-contained retelling plus a short analysis split into six parts: Facts, Why it matters, Who it affects, How to use it, How much to trust it, and What the risks are. You understand the story without opening the original, and the link to the original is always there when you want it. You can see why a story was selected. Every candidate is scored on six axes: impact, novelty, relevance, surprise, the players involved, and how credible the source is. The edition is the top of that ranking, not the top of an engagement chart. Open the rating badge on any story and those six axes are right there. Loud but empty is dropped, quiet but consequential gets through. Nothing in a retelling that is not in the original. Numbers, names, causes and consequences are never inferred, the story is never "improved", no outside context is added. Every story is checked against its source before publication, and a fact that cannot be traced back sends it for a rewrite. Opinion lives in clearly marked Ed. notes and nowhere else. Sources currently in the selection: Hacker News, arXiv, Hugging Face, research lab blogs (OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Berkeley AI), the technical press (MIT Technology Review, Ars Technica, The Register, TechCrunch, The Verge, IEEE Spectrum, Wired) and the AI press (The Decoder, VentureBeat, Simon Willison, Import AI). The list keeps growing. What you get: - One page a day instead of a dozen feeds, newsletters and timelines - Today, week, month and year views, so you can catch up after time away - Ten topic sections: research, tools, security, policy, infrastructure, models, agents, business, products and misc - A full archive by day and by month - An RSS feed - Free to read, no signup, no paywall Glonce is assembled by an automated pipeline under a human editorial policy. The About page describes exactly how that works.

Glonce came out of a simple problem: too many AI feeds, too little signal. One page a day, around forty stories, each already read and checked against its source. Tell me what is missing.
