About Ilaaka

Namaskaram👋 I'm Sri Charan, the builder behind Ilaaka. The idea came from a simple frustration: every fitness app I tried felt like homework. Streaks, calorie counts, leaderboards full of strangers, none of it made me want to actually go outside. So I built the opposite. Ilaaka treats your city like a board game. Every walk, run, or cycle locks in colored regions on the map. The streets you cover become yours. Friends can capture your zones by walking the same routes, and you reclaim them by walking yours. It's Risk, but you play it with your feet. We're starting in Hyderabad because that's where I live and where the first players are, but the map is the world. If you're outside Hyderabad, drop your city in the comments and join the waitlist. Would love your feedback, especially on the zone capture mechanic and what would make you keep walking past day 7. — Sri Charan
