You get a decent latency improvement, and you can query a large area in one request instead of paging through it with endpoint GET /v3/osm_features. Berlin amenities are 2.44x faster on v3 (23.1s to 9.5s). Manhattan amenities 1.95x, Berlin highways 1.73x, Manhattan highways 1.62x. Stockholm is closer to even, as those result sets are smaller. v2 keeps working if you still page. On v3, drop the cursor. We also shipped a count endpoint, GET /v2/osm_features/count. Use it when you want totals or a breakdown by tag (how many cafes, which highway types) without pulling the full GeoJSON. It can run at country scale when you only need totals, not geometries.
