Nakshar: Astra Vanguard

Nakshar: Astra Vanguard is a 4X space strategy card game about building an interstellar empire, expanding across star systems, developing worlds, assembling fleets, and competing for control of the galaxy. Designed as a physical tabletop card game, Nakshar combines the strategic scope of a space 4X game with the deck construction, tactical decisions, and asymmetric possibilities of a card game. Players explore and settle planets, manage resources, construct orbital and planetary infrastructure, build customizable ships, maneuver fleets between star systems, and fight for control both in orbit and on the surface. Victory is not limited to simply destroying your opponents. Players can pursue military conquest or build enough political and economic influence to establish galactic hegemony, allowing different strategies and playstyles to compete. Nakshar is currently in closed alpha. An online version of the game has been built specifically to test and refine the rules with players before committing to a full physical release. The digital platform is free to play and will remain free, while the physical edition is planned for a future release. Players interested in helping shape the game can request an invitation to the closed alpha, play online, experiment with the current card pool, and provide feedback directly during development.
