Early October updates
• Richer news pages. Every new story now gets a 2 to 4 paragraph summary, plus the key numbers, what could help or hurt the stock, what to watch next, a short background explainer and answers to common reader questions. Pages about S&P 500 companies also show the company's profile, sector and earlier stories. Every figure is checked against the source, and a clearly labelled "Our take" gives an opinion, never buy or sell advice. • The daily brief, kept by date. The Market in 5 Minutes is now saved every evening on its own dated page, like /brief/2026-09-29, with links to the day before and after. The last 14 days are linked from /brief. • Weekly M&A deals. /deals gathers this week's mergers and takeovers, newest first, with the deal value where one is named, the companies involved and a one-line summary of the week. Last week is shown in full, and every past week keeps its own page. • Recaps with clean addresses. Weekly and monthly market reports now live at dated addresses, like /analysis/weekly/2026-W39, so they are easy to find and share. Old links still work. • Finance terms, explained. Sixteen topic pages, including EPS, EBITDA, margins and price targets, now open with a plain-English explainer and a guide link, and end with two common questions answered. • Easier to find your way. On a big move day, a company page's title asks the question people search, like "Why is NVDA stock down today?". The "New to investing?" box on each company page now links the guides that fit what that page shows. • Find us on X. Our new account is @newsstocks_feed, linked from the site footer.

Mid-September updates
- The Market in 5 Minutes. The homepage now opens with the whole day in one block: what moved, the stories that mattered, why the market moved (quoted from the day's own analysis), what Reddit is discussing, the mood, and one stock to watch. Also on its own page at /brief, with a dated title you can share, and a quick landing at /start. - Why is it moving? Every company page now answers this from the move itself: today's change against a plain 3% threshold, the last 24 hours of that company's stories ranked by relevance, and a seven-day timeline showing what kind of news landed on which day. A big move with no story says so instead of inventing a reason. - Earnings and analyst pages for 25 of the most-searched tickers. Next report date (confirmed or estimated, stated), EPS and revenue estimates, four quarters of beat-or-miss results, analyst consensus, price target range with implied move, and firm-by-firm rating changes. All 25 ranked by implied upside at /stocks/analyst-ratings. - 100 beginner questions answered. The questions people most often search about stocks, each with a one-line answer and a plain-English explanation, grouped by topic under /learn/questions. - 9 more guides. How to follow the market in 10 minutes a day, getting earnings updates before work, filtering the noise, the overnight check, and honest comparisons with Yahoo Finance, Seeking Alpha, Benzinga and broker apps. The Learn section now has 51 guides. - Cleaner news feed. Every incoming story is now scored for market relevance, freshness and text quality before it can reach the homepage, so off-topic stories and republished old pieces stay out of the way. Nothing is deleted; thin stories are still in the archive. - More honest numbers. Financial metrics are checked against plausible ranges and dropped rather than shown wrong (this caught dividend yields displayed 100x too high). Every quote sh
