About Offshore Developer Cost Calculator
A free calculator that compares offshore developer rates against the fully loaded cost of a US in-house hire. No signup, no email gate, and every rate is published on the page rather than quoted on request. What it does - Compares cost by role and seniority across offshore regions - Calculates fully loaded US in-house cost, not just salary - Shows the full working for both sides of the comparison Where the numbers come from The US figures are derived from published US Bureau of Labor Statistics data: the median annual wage for software developers, and the Employer Costs for Employee Compensation series, which puts benefits at 29.7% of total compensation. Dividing the median wage by 0.703 gives a fully loaded employer cost of roughly $91 per hour across a 2,080-hour year, before recruiting fees, equipment or unbilled bench time. What it deliberately does not price in Ramp-up time on both sides, US time-to-hire, timezone overlap, and severance or utilisation assumptions are all discussed on the page but excluded from the headline figure, so the comparison stays honest rather than flattering. Built and maintained by Avenotech.

Built this because offshore rate comparisons usually hide the arithmetic. It publishes our rates and derives the fully loaded US cost from BLS data, working shown. No signup, no email gate.
