Phosphor Press turns a photograph into stylized imagery featuring limited tones, visible grain, and hard pixel edges. Unlike standard filters, the app reconstructs images using palettes of two, four, or sixteen colors with authentic dithering techniques. It features specialized modes including monochrome terminal displays, woodcut edges, and period-accurate hardware palettes like CGA and EGA. Users can control pixel size, apply shape-aware outlines, and utilize even lighting to maintain consistent surfaces across shadows.
