API and MCP server
A full blown API is added that provides the same pipeline quality as the extension at plainmarkdown.com/api Without pricing yet on the table, the free tier has generous rate limits. This means: 1. You can create an API key and use the API in your tooling right away 2. You can use the provided MCP server for integration with your AI agents (e.g now Claude can use both web_fetch and PlainMarkdown as a tool when needed). Folks asked for this and I wanted to support a production grade quality API. I hope this will help you in day-to-day research.

One-click webpage to Markdown conversion is incredibly handy for note-taking, RAG pipelines, and content repurposing. Removing the noisy HTML and getting clean structured text is a real productivity win.

How does it handle paywalled content or sites with heavy JS rendering? Does it capture what's visible in DOM or something deeper?
@ashishdurgude The API (URL to MD) worked on JS heavy sites, paywall and had bot-bypass too. I disabled it recently since monetizing it wasn't easy next to big players in this field. Now only extension prevails until I see demand for API.
