About Proper Spreadsheets
Proper Spreadsheets builds real Excel workbooks from a plain English description. Tell it what you need to keep track of, like your invoices and the VAT you owe, or a household budget, and about a minute later you see every tab, every column and a picture of the actual file, with example rows filled in and every total worked out. The part that matters is that the file works. An AI model drafts the design, then ordinary code checks its work: every formula is validated, and the whole workbook is recalculated in a real spreadsheet engine before you see it. Anything that would show an error goes back to be fixed first, so you never open a file full of #REF!. Cells you fill in are white. Cells that work themselves out are shaded and locked, so nothing breaks by accident. Every file comes with a Start here sheet in plain English, opens in Excel and Google Sheets, and has no macros and nothing to install. Describing, previewing and revising are free, with no account. Downloading the file is £4.99. There are also thirty finished templates for budgets, bookkeeping, weddings, clubs and more at https://properspreadsheets.com/shop

Conceptually this is absolutely awesome. I asked it to recreate a 50/30/20 budget sheet and it gave a nice comprehensive plan in under a minute. though I'm not 100% that it's worth the price (especially for something as simple as a budget).
@chris-coffin-design thank you for the feedback, on both product and pricing, I was thinking to review the pricing so will make those changes, is there anything you didn’t like or could be improved?
@ProperSpreadSheet Perhaps a more engaging / interactive "loading status" would be good here. A fluidly animated spinner or progress bar or something. Also a little more context as to what the tool is / how it works couldn't hurt.
@chris-coffin-design I’ve made a couple changes, what do you think now?
@ProperSpreadSheet oh yeah. That’s a great improvement. I especially appreciate the spreadsheet shaped loading animation.
I built this because most people can't build a spreadsheet. Describe one, preview every tab free, and get a file checked in a real spreadsheet program. Honest feedback welcome!
