Quality Screener

Popular stock screener always forced a tradeoff for fundamentals-oriented investors: either deep filters on a US-only universe, or a large global universe behind a single black-box "quality" rating with no way to see how it was computed. We wanted to write down the actual investment thesis (e.g. "high ROIC, strong FCF margin, low debt, steady growth") and apply it consistently across a large global universe. So we built QualityScreener. Instead of one-off filters like "ROE > 15%", you define a full scoring model: group metrics, assign weights, and rank the universe consistently against it. For example a model might combine: - profitability: ROE, ROIC, margins - balance-sheet stress: Debt/Equity, interest coverage, Net Debt/FCF - stability: revenue and earnings variability - growth: EPS or revenue growth The app applies that framework across the universe and ranks the results. The stats are transparent rather than a black box: 5–95th percentile winsorization, then z-score normalization, to obtain a final score that's updated weekly. Details: - 45,000+ stocks across 72 exchanges and 115 countries - custom metric groups and weights; filter by sector, country, market cap - track score history and ranks over time - data from FMP - free to use; no account needed to start screening (account only to save scoring models and view history) Under development: - smart company search by keyword/theme (e.g. "AI datacenter") - shareable custom metric groups and filters - portfolio creation and management (with weekly recap and alerts) - an MCP server (query the screener from agents) This app is still early stage and very much a work in progress.
