rareOS

rareOS is a point of sale and inventory system for buy-sell-trade shops: video game stores, card and TCG shops, comic shops, collectibles dealers, pawn shops, and vintage resale. Most retail software treats a trade-in as a return with extra steps. rareOS starts where the money actually changes hands, at a counter where somebody just set down a box of forty games and wants a number. You photograph the batch, the AI identifies each item and prices it against catalog data from PriceCharting and active marketplace listings, and you get back a list to review and correct. Nothing enters inventory until you approve it, because a wrong identification at the counter costs real money. Features: batch photo intake, trade-ins and store credit built in, market-aware pricing, multi-location inventory and transfers, register reconciliation, customer records and loyalty, returns, quotes and invoices, staff permissions, and rareDepot for selling the same stock online. What changes: intake moves from minutes per item to seconds per item plus a review pass.
