I built ResumeGrade after watching this play out at a few colleges. The problem is not that students write bad resumes. It is that they get no feedback until it is almost too late, and the feedback they do get is too general to act on. The tool scores resumes against a rubric and uses GPT-4o to generate specific rewrite suggestions. Students see exactly what is weak and why.
