About Seedfast
Every company building software needs a database full of realistic data, and most cannot simply copy the real thing. Seedfast generates it instead and writes it straight into the database you already use, so it behaves like your own data without being any of it. You point it at a database and describe in plain language what belongs there. It comes back populated, every record connected to the ones it belongs with, referentially correct across the whole schema. Seedfast reads the database as it stands on every run, so the records keep fitting as the product changes. Teams use it to develop against, to test and validate a whole system, to put an AI agent through situations it would otherwise never see, and to fill an environment before a demo. A test suite that runs green against an empty database has told you nothing, and an agent checking a flow there will report success just as confidently. HOW IT RUNS Seeding runs as one command, which puts it in a terminal, in a CI/CD pipeline, or inside an AI coding environment. An MCP server is published in the official registry as st.seedfa/seedfast, so Claude, Cursor and other assistants can drive it directly. WHAT IT COVERS One table or an entire system. The scope is written in plain language, in any human language you like, and generated values can come back in that language too, so a product built for Slovakia sees records that look like its own. Volumes reach tens of millions of rows when tables have to weigh what production weighs. Column shapes are yours to specify: national phone formats, emails on your own domains, internal SKU patterns, prefixed invoice counters. DATABASES PostgreSQL is supported today, including Supabase, Neon and Amazon RDS. MySQL, Oracle and SQLite are in development. PRICING Usage-based credits denominated in dollars. No table limits, no seed limits, no per-row price. Credits refill monthly and do not roll over. Free is $0 a month with $5 of credits, takes no card and never expires. Basic is $16 with $32 of credits, Premium is $69 with $180. A run on a schema of about 30 tables costs roughly $0.60 in credits.

Generating believable test data that respects relations saves hours of fixture writing; great idea for staging environments.

Seeding Postgres with realistic, FK-consistent data is a real pain point. Does it respect check constraints and unique indexes?
@nckbrz Yes, absolutely. It also respects triggers, functions and other complications
Every project we start begins with an empty database and a folder of throwaway scripts. Point Seedfast at Postgres, describe what belongs there, and it fills the schema. Happy to answer questions.
