About SnapDOM
SnapDOM is a browser capture engine that turns any DOM element into an image. Built with zero dependencies and released under the MIT license, it captures live web interfaces as SVG, PNG, JPG, WebP, Blob or canvas, entirely in the browser. Its plugin system extends it with HTML extraction, context for AI agents, and PDF, GIF and video exports. Why SnapDOM: - Fast: benchmarked faster than html2canvas, html-to-image and modern-screenshot - Accurate: preserves styles, fonts, pseudo-elements, Shadow DOM, iframes and background images - Zero dependencies, runs entirely client-side, backed by thousands of tests - Free and open source (MIT)

Turning a live DOM node into a png with no dependencies is a small promise and a rare one. Most of these pull in a headless browser and suddenly you are shipping a runtime just to export one image.
Hi PeerPush! I built SnapDOM as a fast, dependency-free alternative to html2canvas. Capture any DOM element to SVG, PNG, JPG, WebP or canvas. MIT licensed. Feedback welcome!
