About Spotless Parking
Spotless finds free parking anywhere in the US and runs the honest math: park free, pay for the garage, or skip driving entirely. The tool helps you decide the most cost-effective way to reach your destination by comparing parking fees against other transit options. Spotless answers a question every driver has and no app will answer honestly: should you park free and walk, pay for the garage, or skip driving and take a rideshare? Most parking apps sell you something. Garage booking apps make money when you pay to park, so they will never point you at the free lot four minutes away. Rideshare apps make money when you do not drive. Spotless sells nothing, so it can just tell you the truth. WHAT IT DOES Search any destination in the United States and Spotless maps what is actually around you: free lots, free street parking, business lots that are free for customers, and paid garages. Then it ranks all of those against taking an Uber or Lyft by what the whole trip really costs, including your own time. You tell it what your hour is worth. Set it to $10 and the free lot fifteen minutes away wins. Set it to $60 and it will tell you to pay for the garage, because it is genuinely the better call. The ranking recomputes live as you move the slider. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT It shows its math. Tap any option and you see the receipt: expected cost, the realistic range, the worst case, your walking time priced out, and the door to door total. When a garage rate is not posted you get "$6 to $17" and the worst case, not a confident number someone invented. It prices uncertainty instead of hiding it. Live traffic near your destination raises the odds that a free spot is already taken, and the app says so out loud rather than quietly being wrong. Confidence is shown as the share of simulated scenarios where each option wins. It knows time matters. Meters that go free at 6pm are counted as free for your 7pm plan. Arriving later changes the answer, so you can plan ahead instead of guessing. It keeps working after you park. Street sweeping is the single largest category of parking ticket in most American cities. Tap once when you park and Spotless remembers the spot, reads the posted rules, and reminds you before sweeping or a time limit. On newer iPhones the countdown sits on your lock screen. Then it walks you back to your car. REAL OUTCOMES Every time you park free, Spotless logs what the paid alternative would have cost. The running total lives in the app, on your device only. Most people are surprised by month two. Beyond the money, the reminders exist to keep you from the $70 sweeping ticket that erases a month of savings in one morning. COVERAGE Over 1.3 million public parking lots across every US town, not just downtowns, plus street parking segments with curb rules. Twenty four metros are individually tuned, including San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, Boston, Seattle, Washington DC, Austin and Denver, each with its own pricing model, because a garage hour in Manhattan and one in Phoenix are not the same number. HONEST ABOUT ITS LIMITS The data comes from OpenStreetMap and municipal open data such as SFMTA's meter inventory and city street sweeping schedules. It is excellent in some places and thin in others, and it can be out of date. Every spot links back to its source so you can check. Always read the actual signs. There is a one tap report on every spot when something is wrong, and those reports feed back into the recommendations. Rideshare figures are estimates built from public fare information, never live quotes, and they are labeled that way everywhere they appear. NO CATCH No accounts. No ads. No tracking. No subscription. Nothing sold, and no data sold either. Your saved places, parked car, and savings total never leave your phone. Free on iPhone.
