About Streaming Translator
Streaming Translator turns any Chrome tab into a live-translated experience. It captures the tab's audio — an online meeting, a livestream, a lecture, any video — and shows real-time translated subtitles as a clean overlay on top of the page. Unlike desktop translator apps, there is nothing to install beyond the extension: it works on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS, right inside Chrome. KEY FEATURES: - Real-time transcription + translation across 60+ languages, with automatic language detection - Live subtitle overlay directly on the page (line-by-line, low latency) - Meeting mode: follow Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls in your language — no bot joins the room - Works on video and live platforms: YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, TED, Udemy and more — or enable it on every site - Optional spoken narration: hear the translation read aloud - Full-page text translation via right-click - Privacy-first: audio streams directly from your browser to the speech engine and is never stored on our servers; transcripts stay on your device PRICING: - Free trial included (no card required) — just sign in with Google - Starter $3/mo (4 h), Light $10/mo (20 h), Medium $20/mo (45 h), Professional $50/mo (120 h) Install from the Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/iiidgdjndklclaoipkaaolkkbolhhnpg

Maker here 👋 I built this because every "live translator" I found was a Windows-only desktop app — I wanted translated subtitles right on top of the tab I'm already watching, on any OS. Happy to answer anything about how the real-time pipeline works (tab audio → streaming speech-to-text → translation → overlay, ~1–2 s latency). There's a free trial, no card needed — feedback very welcome!
