About TidyCalcs

TidyCalcs is a suite of free online calculators designed for fast, accurate answers without requiring a sign-up. It covers the money questions people actually ask: mortgage payments, refinancing, personal loans, auto loans, debt payoff, and credit card costs. It also includes everyday health and utility tools such as BMI, calorie, age, and currency converters. What makes it useful: - Instant results with a clear monthly payment breakdown (principal and interest, property tax, insurance). - A full amortization schedule, so you can see how much goes to interest versus principal each year. - Money-saving tips tied to your numbers, such as how much interest a shorter loan term could save. - In-depth guides that explain the math and the trade-offs behind each calculator. - Shareable links that keep your inputs, so you can compare scenarios or send them to a partner or lender. Who it's for: homebuyers comparing mortgage options, borrowers weighing refinancing or a personal loan, households working on debt payoff and budgeting, and anyone who wants a straight answer without a signup wall. Everything is free and works in your browser on desktop or mobile.

I may be biased, but I love this space. Free calculators for common & complex human problems is a mission that's very near & dear to me. Nice job on the mobile viewport, overall info architecture & accessibility. It's very clean & usable

@chris-coffin-design Thank you, Chris, that means a lot! I'm glad the mobile layout and accessibility come through, since I worked hard on keeping it clean. If there's a calculator you wish existed, I'd love to hear it.

@caninecottage333 Hm, hard to say! You've got most bases covered already. Maybe a CoastFI / FIRE calculator (at the risk of creating more competition for my OWN tool!) Could be a worthwhile addition to your suite.

@chris-coffin-design Great idea, a CoastFI/FIRE calculator fits well next to our 401(k) and retirement tools. I'm adding it to the roadmap. Thanks for the suggestion!

Money, health and math under one roof looks odd on paper, but that is how people arrive, one query at a time. In my own experience the boring calculators out-traffic the clever ones.

@eusebiubalanmedia Ha, that's exactly how I hope people find it, one question at a time. Good to hear that matches your experience with the simpler tools. Thanks for stopping by!

A clean set of focused calculators is useful for everyday decisions; showing assumptions and calculation steps would build extra confidence.

@nckbrz Great point, thank you. The mortgage calculator uses the standard fixed-rate amortization formula, but I agree that spelling out the assumptions and steps more clearly would build more trust. I'm going to work on that.

Hi everyone! I built TidyCalcs to be the calculator site I always wished existed: fast, free, no sign-ups, no clutter. Would love any feedback from this community!
