About WaitSpin

WaitSpin is a marketplace for AI-agent wait states. It turns the time developers spend waiting for coding agents into a small, opt-in sponsor surface. Developers can enable one sponsor line in supported status or wait interfaces and keep a 60% baseline share of billed impression revenue when paid campaigns are available. For advertisers, WaitSpin offers a new way to reach developers directly inside their workflow. Instead of competing in newsletters, feeds, or banners, dev-tool companies can sponsor the exact moment when developers are waiting for AI agents to complete tasks—high-attention, in-context, and without interrupting the workflow. WaitSpin is designed with a strict privacy boundary. It does not require access to source code, prompts, model output, terminal output, screenshots, clipboard contents, or repository files. The sponsor line appears only in supported wait/status surfaces and never overlays code or modifies the development environment. Supported environments include VS Code and VS Code-compatible editors (such as Cursor Editor Mode), as well as CLI-based AI coding tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, Antigravity CLI, MiMo Code, OpenCode, and Grok Code CLI. Earnings depend on advertiser demand and eligible paid impressions. If no paid inventory is available, there may be no sponsor line and no earning event. WaitSpin is built to be explicit and opt-in, not automatic or intrusive.

Hey everyone 👋 Excited to see WaitSpin live! Curious what you think: is monetizing AI-agent wait time a smart evolution of dev-tool UX, or does it risk becoming too noisy inside workflows?
