Ever washed your car only to have it rain the next day? Most weather apps tell you ‘what’ the weather will be, but they don't answer the question every car owner actually has: "Is today a good day to wash my car?" That simple problem is what inspired WashScore. As someone who enjoys keeping my vehicles clean, I found myself checking multiple weather apps, looking at rain percentages, pollen forecasts, temperatures, and wind conditions, then trying to guess whether washing my car would be worth the time. Sometimes I'd wash it on a sunny afternoon only to wake up to overnight rain or a heavy layer of pollen the very next morning. There had to be a better way. So I built WashScore. Instead of making you interpret weather data yourself, WashScore analyzes the forecast and gives each day a simple Wash Score. It looks at the conditions that actually matter to keeping your vehicle clean and recommends the best days to wash your car. No more guessing. No more wasted washes. No more wondering if tomorrow would have been the better choice. Beyond weather recommendations, I wanted one place to manage my car care routine. WashScore lets you keep track of your vehicles, record your wash history, and receive reminders when conditions are ideal again. What WashScore does • Calculates a daily Wash Score based on upcoming weather conditions. • Recommends the best upcoming days to wash your vehicle. • Shows why a particular day received its score so you can make informed decisions. • Tracks multiple vehicles in your personal garage. • Keeps a history of washes so you know when each vehicle was last cleaned. • Sends optional reminders when a great wash day is approaching. Why I built it WashScore started as a personal project because I couldn't find an app focused on this specific problem. Every weather app provides forecasts, but none answer the practical question of whether washing your car today is actually a good idea. My goal wasn't to build another weather app. It was to build the app I wished already existed. If WashScore saves you even one unnecessary trip to the car wash—or helps your freshly washed car stay cleaner for a few extra days—then it's doing exactly what I hoped it would.
