Yard Load Calculator helps homeowners plan mulch, gravel, topsoil and compost projects before buying materials. Enter length, width and depth to estimate bags, cubic yards, pickup loads and cost. Compare bags with bulk, adjust the waste buffer, and save or share a shopping list without creating an account. The current calculator is available for iPhone and Android. Coming next for iPhone: Photo Estimate, a guided camera workflow. Point the camera at the ground, tap the corners around the area, and bring the estimated area into the material calculator. Add your intended material depth to plan the purchase. This is an estimate, not a certified or exact measurement; device support and conditions affect results, and manual entry remains available. This update is not yet publicly released on the App Store. The new camera workflow is iPhone-only; it is not currently an Android feature.
