About YOBY
YOBY is a multiplayer 3D world where children and parents learn about money together through play. Instead of teaching financial literacy through traditional lessons, worksheets or tests, YOBY turns everyday money concepts into choices, quests and shared experiences. Children can explore saving, spending, goals, trade-offs and financial habits inside a playful world, while parents take part in the same experience and help turn those ideas into family conversations. YOBY is built around a simple idea: financial education should start long before the first bank account, card or financial app. Children already observe how adults talk about money, make choices, save for goals and decide what matters. YOBY gives families a safe, playful environment where those habits can be explored together. The experience takes place in a colorful 3D world populated by duck characters, mentor characters, quests, collectibles and different areas to discover. Progress is connected to decisions and activities inside the game, so financial concepts become part of the experience rather than something taught separately from it. Schools can use YOBY for free. Teachers can introduce financial education through game-based activities while families can continue exploring the same themes at home. YOBY is currently available in seven languages and is designed for an international audience of families, schools and educators. The project sits at the intersection of FinTech, EdTech, game-based learning and family education, with a strong focus on making financial literacy approachable, practical and enjoyable from childhood.
