CheckInPigeon is a Slack bot that runs your async standups so you don't have to. Instead of pinging your team in a group chat and hoping someone responds, CheckInPigeon DMs each person with their standup questions at whatever time you set. Responses come back privately, and the bot compiles everything into a clean summary posted to your team channel — automatically, no babysitting required. What it actually does: - Sends daily or weekly standup questions straight to your team via Slack DM - Collects responses privately so people aren't performing for the group - Posts formatted summaries to whatever channel you choose - Sends reminders to people who haven't responded yet - Lets you run quick polls and check-ins alongside standups - Exports history and generates weekly reports when you need a paper trail - Flags sentiment shifts when someone on your team is quietly struggling - Lets you ask AI questions over your standup data ("what blockers came up most last month?") - Syncs standup data to Google Sheets if that's where your team lives Who it's for: Remote teams, engineering teams, and managers who are tired of synchronous status meetings that exist just to answer "what did you work on yesterday."
