About ElipticNet Ping Panel

ElipticNet Ping Panel is a free, cross-platform desktop application for continuous multi-host availability monitoring using ICMP ping. It provides a simple view of which devices are online or offline, together with latency and packet-loss information, without requiring a monitoring server, cloud account or paid subscription. The desktop application will remain 100% free for local monitoring. ElipticNet is currently in development for Windows and Ubuntu Desktop. I'm also exploring an optional paid remote service that would allow users to securely send availability metrics to the cloud, access monitored networks remotely, manage hosts, receive alerts and retain historical metrics. The goal is to keep local monitoring simple and free, while charging only for the cloud infrastructure required for remote capabilities.

A focused ping panel without the full Zabbix setup is refreshing. Are alerts configurable per host, e.g. after N failed pings?

@nckbrz Yes — thresholds are configurable per host: you can set how many consecutive failed pings mark it offline and how many successful replies bring it back. Email/Telegram alerts are planned for the connected version.

Building ElipticNet to keep local network monitoring simple and free, with optional remote visibility for those who need it. Feedback from network and IT professionals is very welcome.
