EZCV — what's new since launch The short version: EZCV now handles the whole job, not just the writing. Bring the CV you already have. Upload a PDF or Word file and it becomes an editable document — formatting, sections, all of it — instead of a blank page. Tailor it to the job you're applying for. Paste the job ad and EZCV rewrites the parts that matter for that role, then tells you plainly which requirements you match and which you don't. Start before you sign up. Build the CV in your browser, no account, and only sign up when you want to save it or share it as a link. A template per job, with a sample. Every template has its own page and a one-page sample PDF you can download before committing. There are example CVs for six common roles to start from. The Minimal layout has been rebuilt for applicant tracking systems, because a recruiter's software reads the words, not the design. Photos, if you want one. Optional, asked for with explicit consent, and never cached on the public page. Editing on a phone that actually works. Full-screen preview, larger tap targets, and public CVs that use the width of the screen. On privacy: your data is stored under EU jurisdiction, every AI run asks for your consent first, and unsharing a CV or removing a photo is usually reflected within a minute (and at most ten). Hey everyone! While I was thinking to optimize the app so it works better across the globe I found CloudFlare Workers as a meaningful solution, so I started working at migrating the app to it from the VPS I was using. After doing some research I also realized that if I wanted the best performance on the new infrastructure, I'd probably be better off leaving Next.JS and going for something with better CloudFlare Workers support, so I went for TanStack Start, with Hono an tRPC for the backend. This showed significant improvements over OpenNext, especially on cold starts, so it was definitely worth the work. There should be close to no changes from what the app was previously visually and functionally, but there might me slight issues here and there which I encourage anyone to report at our e-mail ([email protected]). I've done a couple rounds of tweaks and improvements and the app is now faster, friendlier with users in their first time experience, and we've optimized/added color schemes so we get better fits with the templates. Looking forward for your feedback!
