About JobGhosting
JobGhosting tracks stale and recycled job postings pulled straight from public ATS feeds, including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and Workday, to expose "ghost jobs": listings that stay open long after a role has effectively stopped hiring. No surveys, no self-reported data. Just public job-board endpoints, re-crawled continuously, with postings matched against normalized titles so a role that gets reposted under a new ID doesn't reset the clock. Every posting gets a confidence-scored badge (Fresh, Stale, Suspected Ghost, Ghost, Multiple Openings, or Evergreen) based on how long it's been open, whether it keeps reshelving at the same location, and how that compares to normal hiring behavior for a company that size. Nothing gets flagged off one signal alone; it takes a real pattern. Beyond individual jobs: All Jobs: search and filter every tracked posting by company, department, and ghost status. Companies: every employer we track, ranked by "ghosty now" (live ghost rate) vs. lifetime track record. Wall of Shame: the worst offenders, weighted toward companies people actually recognize. Company profiles: a "when the freeze built up" timeline showing exactly when a company's ghost problem started. How We Know: full transparency on data sources, scoring methodology, and crawl schedule. No black box. JobGhosting doesn't accuse anyone of lying. It shows the data and lets you decide whether a "Senior Engineer" req that's been open 200 days across three reshelvings is worth another cover letter. Built for job seekers tired of applying into a black hole, and for anyone curious which "hypergrowth" companies are actually still hiring.
