About Kastor

I’m a college student building Kastor as a solo project. Most data tools are either too “toy-like” or way too heavy for beginners. Kastor sits in between: it’s a lightweight, web-based visual flow for people who are curious about data but don’t want to start with code or complex desktop software. 🧩 How it works – Upload a CSV or Excel file – Stack simple conditions (filter / sort / basic math) as blocks – Instantly see a before/after table and a chart so you can understand what each step did Right now it’s mostly used with game logs and small real-world datasets (scores, surveys, simple business data), but I’m working towards a “Validator” node that can flag broken rows before data goes into your systems (missing values, invalid ranges, wrong categories, etc.). I’m especially interested in feedback from: – People who work with data every day and see beginners struggle – Teachers / mentors who want an easier way to let students “touch” real data – Builders who’ve tried KNIME / Orange / Alteryx and have opinions on what confuses new users If you’re up for it, I’d love to see how Kastor behaves on one of your real CSVs and hear where you get stuck.
