Keigo: Polite Japanese

Keigo is a language learning application focused on the Japanese honorific register. Rather than rote memorization, the app emphasizes the social decisions behind speech, such as identifying who is speaking to whom. It measures four distinct skills: Register, Direction (whose action is being described), Production (building forms from parts), and identifying overdone or incorrect keigo like 'baito keigo'. The curriculum covers five levels including irregular forms, productive patterns, and the complex distinction between inside (uchi) and outside (soto) groups.
