About Knowl
Knowl is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) memory server for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, with Knowl Cloud providing shared memory for entire AI coding teams. It gives agents persistent memory across sessions and syncs project knowledge across teammates, repositories, and agents, so decisions, discoveries, constraints, and lessons don't get lost. Unlike basic memory systems that keep piling up old facts, Knowl uses write-time supersession to automatically retire outdated knowledge when your project changes. Knowledge is structured with types, provenance, and conflict handling, helping agents retrieve the most current and reliable context. The result: your agents stop starting from zero, your team stops repeating itself, and everyone stays in sync with the latest state of the project. One shared brain. Every AI. Any session. Always current.

Been finding one like this for a long time, my work changes really rapidly so the supersession helped a lot!
Changed from Mem0 to this, really a game changer
Really easy to set up, thanks for sharing!
Knowl gives coding agents memory that survives between sessions; easy npm install and MCP setup. Very useful.

Persistent memory through an MCP server for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex fits how many developers already work. Good luck with the launch!
Shared memory across the whole team and multiple agents sounds incredibly powerful for preventing duplicate mistakes. Excited to see how this evolves!
There's a reason this is top trending. Extremely useful.

I'm not really a tech/coder and it still works great for my Hermes Agent
@nextnoah Glad to hear that to know it works great for everyday use too!
Does it support local models through Ollama too? I'd love to have a full local set up!
@john9231 Not yet, chat-with-an-Ollama-model setup that calls Knowl over MCP isn't something we support now. We're planning and looking at it. Thanks for asking, it's useful to know people want this!
@dat999zx Will definitely love to hear that
Great work, really useful with my set up of Hermes Agent and Claude Code!
@blablablaontop Glad you liked it!
Persistent memory across agent sessions is the missing piece — re-explaining repo conventions every session gets old. MCP support is a smart call.
