Kohatu is a 5-in-a-row strategy game where elemental powers, explosive combos, and dynamic weather turn every move into a tactical battle. Players place carved Tiki stones across a grid to align five in a row or dominate board points using elements like Fire, Water, Nature, and Earth. Each element provides unique benefits, such as Fire igniting neighboring tiles or Earth acting as a heavy anchor against wind gusts. You can trigger synergies like Combustion or Crystal Shields to gain score multipliers and protection. The game features shifting biome weather, including rain storms and gale winds, alongside collectible Guardian Totems that offer passive perks. Players can progress through a Campaign Saga Map to test their tactical foresight against cataclysm events.
