LeBeHo

LeBeHo is a social blogging and publishing platform built around a simple idea: people have things to say, but there isn't always a place designed for saying them clearly, explaining why they believe them, and hearing what others think. On many social platforms, posts are pushed into fast-moving feeds where people scroll past them in seconds. Short posts can leave little room for context. Long-form publishing platforms give people space to write, but the experience can feel more like publishing an article than having a conversation. Discussion platforms often organize people around communities rather than giving each person their own publishing space. LeBeHo brings these ideas together. At the center of LeBeHo is the Point. A Point begins with a statement introduced by phrases such as: > Let's be honest: Harassing someone after a breakup is just lame. > Let's be clear: Following every fashion trend doesn't mean you have good style. > Let's face it: J.K. Rowling had a hell of a story before Harry Potter. The statement is the Point. The writer can then explain it as briefly or deeply as they want. A Point doesn't have to be a short social-media post. Someone can write a few sentences, tell a personal story, write an opinion piece, review something, discuss an event, or develop the idea into a full-length article. The Point gives the writing its starting point; the explanation gives it depth. A place for different perspectives LeBeHo is designed for people who have something to say about almost anything. You might write about relationships, fashion, technology, work, money, movies, culture, education, society, politics, local issues, personal experiences, or something completely different. You don't have to be a professional writer, journalist, blogger, or creator. If you have a Point and can explain why you believe it, you can publish it. Other people can Agree or Disagree with the Point and, when comments are enabled, explain their own perspective. This makes disagreement part of the experience without requiring everyone to have the same opinion. Your experience is yours to control LeBeHo is built around the idea that users should have more control over what they see and who they hear from. When you join, you can choose the topics and interests you care about. These interests shape your discovery experience. If you choose technology, relationships, and movies, your Explore experience focuses on new Points in those areas. You don't have to see political content simply because it is popular or trending. You can also follow people and topics. Inbox Your Inbox is your personal delivery space. When someone you follow publishes a new Point, it can arrive in your Inbox. The same applies to topics you follow. Instead of being a giant stream of everything happening on LeBeHo, the Inbox is about what you've chosen to hear from. Explore Explore is for discovery. It shows you Points from people you don't already follow, based on the interests you've chosen. This gives you a way to discover new writers, perspectives, and conversations without requiring you to follow everyone whose content interests you. Activity Activity is about things happening around you: new followers, comments, replies, Agreements, Disagreements, mentions, and other interactions involving you. My Points My Points is your own publishing space. It contains the Points you've made and gives you a place to build your body of work and your audience. Choose your identity LeBeHo does not require you to publicly use your real name. You can participate under a pseudonym that belongs to you. This gives people more freedom to express their perspectives without making their public identity the center of every conversation. Pseudonymity doesn't mean there are no rules. LeBeHo still needs rules against harassment, threats, abuse, spam, deception, and other harmful behavior. Control your conversations Publishing something doesn't mean you have to open your personal space to everyone. The person who makes a Point can choose whether comments are enabled and can control who is allowed to comment. You can also block people. Blocking is designed to give you control over your own experience. When you block someone, their Points and interactions are no longer presented to you, helping you remove unwanted people from your LeBeHo experience. You decide what you want to see, who you want to hear from, and whether you want a discussion around something you've published. More than a place to write LeBeHo can also give creators a place to connect their other work with their Points. A writer can link to their blog or book. A podcaster can embed an episode within a Point. A creator can add a support link to their profile. Creators can also use appropriate affiliate links. LeBeHo's role is to give creators a place to say something, build an audience, and connect their work with people who care.
