About Lunar Canoe

Lunar Canoe is a storyboard for making films with AI video, one shot at a time. Lay out an ordered strip of shots, generate the still where two shots meet, and pin it as the last frame of one shot and the first frame of the next. Because each cut is pinned, re-rolling shot 7 leaves shots 6 and 8 unchanged, so you can spend forty takes on one difficult shot without re-rendering the rest. A director agent writes prompts and reorders or groups shots as a proposal you accept or discard. Each render shows its price before you press it, and export produces a single MP4 of your takes in order, with optional music and voice.

Pinning the frame where two shots meet, so re-rolling shot 7 leaves 6 and 8 alone, solves the most frustrating part of AI video. Showing the price before each render keeps forty takes on one shot from becoming a surprise bill.

This idea came to me as I was constantly creating short videos via Gemini for my toddler son. I got to thinking, what if I could create much longer clips and keep everything consistent? Enjoy!
