About Ottex AI

Dictate your emails, Slack messages, prompt AI agents, write markdown notes and more. Ottex detects your app or website and formats accordingly: - gmail.com → email - Slack → professional chat message - Cursor / VS Code → AI message - Obsidian → markdown note Select text and ask ottex to edit, format, check grammar or just add something. No subscriptions. It's free and cost pennies to run $1-3 per month (via your OpenRouter API key). Zero data retention (we don't store your data). All requests go directly to OpenRouter.

google recently improved the integration between gemini and gmail how does that affect your product ?

It's in no way affecting Ottex AI. You still have hundreds of applications and websites where you want to have voice-to-text input, as in PeerPush right now. PS: I used Ottex AI to write this comment.

Love WisprFlow so will give it a try. What's the difference with it?

I’m actually a huge fan of WisprFlow and I used it for a long time myself! To be honest, Ottex is heavily inspired by it, so you’ll find the experience very familiar.

The main difference here is the BYOK model - you have to provide your OpenRouter API key to use the app.

Hey! I built Ottex because AI features in WisprFlow could be replicated using Gemini 3 Flash. What really matters is the UX, so I spent a ton of time to make it incredibly smooth.
