About OutfitMaker.ai
OutfitMaker.ai turns your messy closet into a smart wardrobe. Snap a photo of any clothing item AI removes the background, detects the category, color, and style, and adds it to your digital wardrobe. Once you have a few items, ask for outfit suggestions. The AI cross-references everything you own and generates complete outfits based on the weather, the occasion, and your personal style. The magic moment: you discover combinations you'd never think of with clothes you already own. That sweater you forgot about? AI finds three ways to wear it. Key features: - Photo upload with automatic background removal and AI tagging - Daily outfit suggestions powered by Google Gemini (multimodal AI sees your actual clothes, not just text labels) - Look Preview: see outfits on AI models before you get dressed - Weather-aware styling: suggestions adapt to today's forecast - "Complete the Look" shopping recommendations when your wardrobe has gaps - Works as a PWA install from browser, no app store needed Built as a solo project with Rails 7, Hotwire, Tailwind CSS 4, and Google Gemini. Available in 5 languages (EN, FR, ES, PT, DE). Free plan: 50 items, 5 suggestions/month. No credit card required.

Solo dev here! Built this to solve my own morning problem staring at a full closet with nothing to wear. Would love feedback on the onboarding flow. What would make you photograph your clothes?
@bernardmarc92 I have the same problem every day, tried a hundred apps already and still haven't found the right one. Love the idea behind yours, will try it out in the following days! :)
@ninireed thanks for your comment ! Let me know how it is once you tried. I'm always happy to have some feedback and try to improve based on it.
