PolicyMage

Policymage is basically a health insurance comparison platform for people in the U.S. who are shopping for individual health insurance. The idea came from how confusing health insurance shopping can be. You have to compare premiums, subsidies, deductibles, copays, out-of-pocket maximums, benefits, networks, and more, and the options can vary depending on where you live and your situation. Policymage brings all of that information together and lets you compare plans side by side. You can look at things like monthly premiums, deductibles, out-of-pocket limits, copays, and benefits without having to jump between different sources. What we're trying to do differently is keep the comparison transparent. We don't want to simply tell someone "this is the best plan." Different people have different healthcare needs and budgets, so the goal is to give them the information and context to make their own decision. For users, the main benefit is pretty straightforward: less time digging through complicated insurance information and a much clearer picture of how different plans compare before making a decision. We're currently working on expanding the platform and reaching more people before Open Enrollment, so more consumers can use it when they're actually shopping for coverage.
