About Quack

Quack is a native desktop app (macOS & Windows) that transforms Claude Code from a single-threaded terminal tool into a full visual workspace for AI-powered development. The Problem: When using Claude Code in the terminal, you wait 30-120 seconds per response, lose context switching between projects, and start fresh every session — losing all the knowledge your AI has built up. The Solution: Quack gives you a multi-agent GUI where you can run multiple AI coding sessions in parallel, assign tasks visually, and maintain persistent memory across sessions. Key Features: - Multi-Agent Chat — WhatsApp-style interface to manage multiple AI agents simultaneously. Work on one project while Claude thinks on another. No more idle time. - Kanban Task Board — Assign coding tasks to your AI agents visually, track progress in real-time, and see file diffs as they happen. - Second Brain — A persistent knowledge layer that remembers patterns, decisions, and lessons learned across sessions. Your AI agents never start from scratch. - Visual Configuration — Edit CLAUDE.md files, skills, hooks, and MCP server settings through a clean GUI instead of hunting through dotfiles. - Custom Agent Teams — Create specialized AI teammates with custom avatars, personalities, coding rules, and skill sets. Assign the right agent to the right task. - 100% Local — Everything runs on your machine. No cloud, no data sent anywhere. Your code and conversations stay private. Built with Tauri + React for native performance with a tiny footprint. Requires a Claude API key (Anthropic). Currently in v0.6 — actively developed and growing fast.

Product Insights

Quack is a native desktop application for macOS and Windows that provides a visual multi-agent interface for running Claude Code sessions in parallel. It centralizes AI development tasks through a local GUI, incorporating a Kanban board and persistent memory to eliminate terminal-based wait times.

  • Supports parallel execution of multiple AI agents to work on separate projects or tasks simultaneously.
  • Maintains persistent memory through a Second Brain layer to retain project context across sessions.
  • Ensures local security by running entirely on the user's machine without cloud data storage.
  • Simplifies configuration via a GUI for editing skills, hooks, and MCP server settings.

Ideal for: Developers, Indie Hackers, and Freelancers who need to manage multiple AI-driven coding tasks simultaneously while maintaining persistent project knowledge across sessions.

I built Quack because I was tired of waiting for Claude Code in a single terminal. Now I run 10 agents in parallel and never sit idle. Hope you find it as useful as I do!
