About Symplia
Symplia is a mental health app that combines mental health tracking, journaling, and therapy tracking to help you understand yourself, recognise patterns, and make sense of your mental well-being over time. Your mental health is more than a mood score. Symplia gives you a space to track what you’re experiencing, journal your thoughts and feelings, reflect on your experiences, and discover patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed. With features like AI-assisted voice journaling, guided journal prompts, unsent letters, structured reflection exercises, and mental health tracking, Symplia helps you explore what’s happening within you in different ways. Over time, you can look back on your entries and insights to better understand recurring thoughts, feelings, and experiences. If you’re in therapy, Symplia also helps you make more of the work that happens between sessions. Prepare topics you want to discuss, keep therapy session notes, track homework and exercises, and reflect on what you’ve learned. When you’re ready, you can share a progress report or summary with your therapist. Symplia was built by a medical student after recognising the gap between experiencing challenges, reflecting on them, and understanding them over time. It was shaped by insights from more than 100 conversations with people already in therapy. Whether you want to keep track of your mental health, build a journaling habit, understand your patterns, or stay engaged with therapy, Symplia gives you a calm, structured space to start with one entry and gradually build a clearer picture of yourself. Symplia supports your mental wellness journey. It doesn’t replace professional mental health care. Available on the web at symplia.app.

This is cool! The thing you meant to bring up slipping away is so real. How is the journal data handled for the AI insights? For something this personal, I’d want to know if it’s processed on-device or sent to a server :)
