Encrypted Document Storage

Vault is a privacy-first encrypted document vault for storing sensitive files — contracts, tax records, legal documents, and IDs. Files are encrypted in the browser with AES-GCM-256 (600,000 PBKDF2 iterations) before upload, so the service only ever stores ciphertext and cannot read your documents. Authentication uses a 16-digit recovery key instead of an email and password, removing the most common attack surface — there's no account to phish, reset, or breach. Vault is document-focused (PDF, Word, text, RTF, ODT) rather than a bulk photo/video store, and is operated by a registered German company under GDPR. It offers one-time (lifetime) pricing, a published 5-year operating guarantee, and never deletes files due to account inactivity. Vault is transparent that filenames and tags remain searchable and are not encrypted.
