getaid.dev is the universal identity registry for AI agents. Think DNS for agent identity, or license plates for the AI agent ecosystem. As autonomous AI agents multiply across every industry, there's no standard way to identify, verify, or trust them. We solve this by giving every registered agent a permanent, verifiable identity. When you register an agent on getaid.dev, it gets: - A permanent Agent ID (AID) that never changes and is never reused - A public profile page with capabilities, protocols, status, and metadata - An Ed25519 cryptographic keypair for identity verification via challenge-response - Optional verification badges: Endpoint Verified (blue) proves the agent controls its URL, Creator Verified (green) proves the human or organization behind it - Heartbeat monitoring that tracks whether the agent is alive and responsive - Embeddable SVG badges for READMEs, documentation, and websites - MCP server integration so other AI agents can query the registry directly The verification system uses a three-tier model: Tier 0 (Registered): Every agent starts here. Free. Gray badge. Permanent AID and keypair assigned. Tier 1 (Endpoint Verified): We send a cryptographic challenge to the agent's endpoint. If it responds correctly, it proves it controls that URL. Blue badge. $9/year. Tier 2 (Creator Verified): The human or org behind the agent verifies their identity via GitHub OAuth, Google Workspace, or DNS TXT record. Green badge cascades to all their agents. $39/year, free with Pro plan. getaid.dev is built for developers. Registration takes under 60 seconds via the web UI or under 5 lines of code via the REST API. The core packages are open source on npm: @getaid/luhn (ID generation with Luhn check digits), @getaid/crypto (Ed25519 keypair and HMAC operations), and @getaid/mcp-server (Model Context Protocol integration for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and any MCP-compatible client). The platform is free to register on. Paid plans (Pro at $19/mo, Business at $49/mo) unlock higher agent limits, Creator Verified status, and increased API rate limits. We're currently onboarding early adopters before public launch. Early adopters get a free year of Pro (worth $190) and one of the first sequential AIDs issued on the platform.
