About SnapBooks

SnapBooks is bookkeeping software built specifically for Canadian freelancers and sole proprietors filing a T2125 with the CRA. When QuickBooks Self-Employed Canada shut down in 2024, thousands of self-employed Canadians had nowhere to go. Everything else was either too expensive or built for businesses with employees. SnapBooks tracks income and expenses the way CRA actually wants them, manages HST and ITC calculations, logs mileage using the T2125 actual expense method, and exports a tax-ready file at year end. AI receipt scanning included. Priced at $69/yr - a fraction of FreshBooks or Xero.

Built this after QuickBooks Self-Employed Canada shut down in 2024 and left me scrambling. If you're a Canadian freelancer tired of software that wasn't built for how the CRA actually works, give it a try and let me know what you think.
