About Zync

Zync - a native SSH workspace, not another hosted SSH vendor Zync brings terminals, SSH connections, SFTP, visual tunnels, snippets, and host management into one fast, native desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux. No host limits, no subscription, and no account required for core use. Your credentials never leave your machine. They live in an on-device vault (Argon2id + AES-GCM) unlocked only with your own passphrase. Want a backup? Zync can encrypt your vault and push it to your own Google Drive - Zync's servers never see a copy, and sync is manual, not always-on. Need to share a local port publicly? Public URLs (Beta) exposes it over HTTPS. This is the one feature that needs a lightweight Zync account (GitHub or Google login) - it's kept separate from your vault, SSH tunnels, and Drive backup, so the rest of the app stays fully local-first. Also includes an AI command bar (bring your own key — Ollama, Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, Groq, or Mistral), a plugin system, a command palette, and config import from ~/.ssh/config. MIT licensed. No app telemetry. Built for developers and DevOps engineers who want a full SSH workspace without putting secrets in a vendor's cloud. 🔗 GitHub ⭐: https://github.com/zync-sh/zync

I've been working on Zync for quite some time. The idea is simple: bring local CLI, SSH, SFTP, port forwarding, vault, and other server-related tools into one workspace. Would love your feedback :)
